Flowers

One thing I like taking pictures of is flowers. Flowers were the first thing that i concentrated on when starting off learning and experimenting with photography. I find that flowers make attractive photos and they come in handy with practising for Macro photos.

One of first photos taken with my Canon 1000d camera. I like the way the droplets stand out on the petals.

I quite like this photo showing only half of the dandelion. I like the way the camera catches each of the individual fairies that blow about in the wind.

These were roses that my boyfriend brought me that i spent a lot of time capturing different angles  and practise on.

This is one of my favourite photos. I like the way the two flowers contrast almost making the white petals look unreal.

This was taken with my new Macro lens. I like the colour of this rose and the way the camera catches it. This has to be one of my favourites.

A First Attempt at Macro

For my birthday last week i received from my boyfriend my first ever Macro Lens. I really do enjoy doing Macro photography and I believe my first attempt went not to bad. I obviously have  a lot to learn so watch this space :)

My First Macro attempt of a Wasp

More Dennis and Twiglet

Many of my photos consist of two most precious things in my life.....my two boys.

My kittens Dennis and Twiglet have put up with constant lenses in their faces and me chasing them around the garden and the house. I love taking photos of my boys. I like to think that i capture both their personalities through my camera.

Photo of Dennis in the garden taken a few weeks ago. I love the way the sun captures his face. This photo was taken with my camera, Canon 1000d, with a 18-55mm lens

Another photo of Dennis this time a little more zoomed in and showing the whole of his face. Absolutely lush.

This picture i believe sums up my boys completely. Dennis and Twiglet are in separable. They are always look out for each other. If one boy is around you can always rely on the other boy being close by.

This picture was taken on the second day of getting Twiglet. He was so dinky and definitely photogenic. He made a good subject to concentrate on with regards to my photography.

Absolutely adorable :)

Dennis and Twiglet

This photo has got to be one of my favourites. I was out in the garden experimenting with the camera whilst i noticed my two kittens both standing up on their back legs starring at the biggest bumble bee in history. Whilst they were captivated it was almost like time stopped for me to get in the right position just in time before they got bored of the bumble bee situation and moved.
